And now we are talking about how to Disable VSC Easily, Safely, and Un-Doable?
I decided to write this post about how to get "VSC OFF" without having to do any actual hardware mods to the ECU or wiring.
FYI-Not responsible for anything that goes wrong. Also any terms or info unclear in my write up, I will post this text that can be referenced.I will also be attaching the diagram that walks thru how to do a Zero Point Calibration, but you can reference just to see which ports to plug the wires to. I highly suggest reading over this post first, as it will give you a clear understanding of what you are doing.
Ok, that said here are the steps:
1. Ensure the shift lever is in
“P” Park.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Using SST 09843–18040 (Which is that homemade tool, for mine I just used speaker wire) repeat a cycle of short and open between terminals Ts and CG -Basically after having the end of the wire plugged into ports #14 and #4, using the other end, simply touch the wires together 4-8 times within 8 seconds.
4.Verify that the VSC indicator light is lit indicating
the recorded zero point is erased.
5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
You're all done! VSC is now off.
